Pastor Jeremy Porras
Jeremy has been a worship leader at churches since 1991. He felt the call to lead worship at a young age and holds degrees from Biola University and Cal State Long Beach. He married his high-school sweetheart Candace in 1997 and they have 2 girls. In 2014, the Lord gave him a new passion to serve the inner cities’ physical and spiritual needs, bringing a message of hope to the seemingly hopeless. Since founding Raleigh Dream Center in 2014, that passion now inspires many others to the call that we all have to serve others as Jesus describes in Matthew 25:40. RDC now reaches thousands weekly through different outreaches and is partnering with churches to do our part of the Great Commission to reach our city.
Director of Operations
Candace has a Business Administration degree from Biola University. She has worked as a sales rep for a Christian music distribution company, an Event Coordinator for a large church, a Membership Coordinator for an athletic club and as a Real Estate Broker. But the biggest joy in her career has been the task of helping her husband to launch this non-profit that brings hope and healing to so many struggling with life-controlling issues. Her passion is to see people’s lives changed by the power of Christ, where they find their God-given cause and seek to bring that transformation to others around them.
Matthew Tyler Daniels
Assistant Director of Ministries
Matthew is finishing up his bachelors in Ministry Leadership from Northwest University. Coming from a homeless, drug and alcohol addicted life, when the Lord got ahold of his heart in 2009 it birthed a deep passion to help those in similar circumstances. He has completed leadership internships at the City Church in Seattle and Elevation Church in Charlotte, and has fell in love with the city of Raleigh since moving here in 2016. He has a desire to see the people of Raleigh experience the redeeming and transformational love of God.
Volunteer Coordinator & Administration
Rachel was born and raised in North Carolina. She received an associates degree in Practical Ministry from Christ For the Nations, a bible school in Dallas, TX. She has since moved back to Raleigh and is currently working towards a bachelors in Sociology at Dallas Baptist University online. She has worked as a Ministry Assistant for the Young Adults Ministry at RFA Church. Over the years, the Lord has developed in her a heart for the city of Raleigh and a desire to contribute to its flourishing – to make disciples and see lives transformed.
