PASTOR JEREMY PORRAS
Jeremy has been a worship leader at churches since 1991. He felt the call to lead worship at a young age and holds a Bachelors degree from Biola University and a Master’s degree from California State Long Beach. He married his high-school sweetheart Candace in 1997 and they are raising two daughters. They moved from Los Angeles to Raleigh in 2007 and Jeremy became the Worship Pastor at Crossroads Fellowship Church. In 2014, the Lord gave him a new passion to serve the inner cities’ physical and spiritual needs, bringing a message of hope to the seemingly hopeless. Since founding Raleigh Dream Center in 2014, that passion now inspires many others to the call that we all have to serve others as Jesus describes in Matthew 25:40. RDC now reaches thousands weekly through different outreaches and is partnering with churches to do our part of the Great Commission to reach our city.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Candace is from Whittier, CA. and moved to Raleigh with her family in 2007. She received her Bachelors degree from Biola University in La Mirada, CA. in Business Administration. She has worked as a sales rep for a Christian music distribution company, a Membership Coordinator for an athletic club, an Event Coordinator for a large church, and is currently a Real Estate Broker. But the biggest joy in her career has been the task of helping her husband to launch this non-profit that brings hope and healing to so many struggling with life-controlling issues. Her passion is to see people’s lives changed by the power of Christ, where they find their God-given cause and seek to bring that transformation to others around them.

Rachel was born and raised in North Carolina. She received an Associates degree in Practical Ministry from Christ For the Nations, a bible school in Dallas, TX. She has since moved back to Raleigh and is currently working towards a Bachelors degree in Sociology at Dallas Baptist University online. She has worked as a Ministry Assistant for the Young Adults Ministry at RFA Church. Over the years, the Lord has developed in her a heart for the city of Raleigh and a desire to contribute to its flourishing – to make disciples and see lives transformed.
ADMINISTRATION & OUTREACH SUPPORT
Doug grew up in the beach town of Bradenton, Florida. He received a BS in Practical Ministry from Southeastern University in Lakeland, Florida and is now pursuing a Master of Divinity online at Liberty University. Doug moved to Raleigh after God placed the city on his heart while doing an internship at a Dream Center in the Outer Banks. He has worked in University Enrollment, Specialized Plumbing, and held various roles within the local church. While on his journey to Raleigh, Doug has developed a passion for seeing God move in his everyday life. He desires for others to be transformed by the Gospel, grow in relationship with Christ, and live with a daily awareness of the power and love of God.
KIDZ OUTREACH COORDINATOR
Katie is a Raleigh native. After graduating high school, Katie lived in Mali, West Africa for six months, where she served at a center for street kids and at an English center. During her time in Africa, she was convicted of the call for missional living in every context, and learned the importance of presenting the Gospel in a contextualized way. Upon her return to the United States, Katie began volunteering with Raleigh Dream Center. Katie has a passion for ministering to children that have experienced trauma, presenting a message of hope and restoration to them in a way they can understand.
Helen is from Niagara Falls, Canada, where she received a Bachelors of Social Work degree from Ryerson University in Toronto. She and her husband and four children have called North Carolina home since 1996. She has worked as the Assistant Director of a Christian residential home for women with life controlling problems, and also as an advocate for families and children within the foster care system. Helen put aside her career to raise and homeschool her children for the past twenty years. She is thrilled to now engage with Raleigh Dream Center’s Pathway Ministry to provide relational support to individuals and families in Wake County by providing aid and communicating hope and transformation through the love of Jesus.
