OUTREACH PROGRAMS

Our Outreach Programs provide free assistance to those in the surrounding communities in the form of food, clothing, childrens’ programs and more. This support allows families and individuals to focus on their personal growth, family health, and stability while having basic needs met on a consistent basis.

Adopt-A-Block

This is Raleigh Dream Center’s primary way of changing the atmosphere and building transformational relationships by being present in local neighborhoods. The strength of Adopt-A-Block is its ability to build lasting relationships within the community that will allow us to speak into someone’s potential and share the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Each event lasts 2 hours where we knock on doors, provide groceries for households, pick up trash, play with children, and have intentional Gospel conversations. It’s family friendly, so kids are welcome. Our Adopt-A-Block program provides over 10,000 pounds of groceries each month at no cost to under-resourced communities.

Annually we host two special Adopt-A-Blocks that are larger scale events to bless the children in our communities. The Back2School Bash which distributes backpacks filled with school supplies and Pass The Joy where children receive wrapped presents.

Mobile Food Pantry

Food insecurity is a reality in Wake County, with 1 out of 6 people not knowing where their next meal will come from. NC ranks 10th in the nation for highest rates of hunger. Every week we supply free groceries to help meet a physical need in local communities, but most importantly it is a tool for us to be able to build relationships and share the gospel.

    Street Outreach & Family Night

Everyday there are thousands of people in Wake County experiencing homelessness. We believe that everyone deserves love and dignity which is why we are passionate about reaching out to those in need. More and more, the face of homelessness includes families, seniors and veterans.

Raleigh Dream Center volunteers serve downtown Moore Square on Tuesdays at 3:30 pm, offering prayer, hygiene products, and a variety of care packages. We also provide bus transportation to and from RDC to join us for a free dinner, worship and bible teaching from 5:30 – 7:30pm that we call Family Night. Through this growing ministry we are seeing hundreds of people placing their faith in Christ, being baptized, and seeking assistance through our residential programs or our agency partners.

    KidzJam

KidzJam focuses specifically on the children in the communities we serve and seeks to meet their emotional, spiritual and physical needs by building relationships through sports, games, crafts and lessons.

KidzJam currently takes place in certain communities after-school, at our Adopt-A-Block outreaches, as well as at our Tuesday Family Nights. If you are passionate about reaching the next generation for Christ and mentoring kids right in their communities or at Family Night, then we would love you to join our KidzJam Dream Team.

    Public Recovery Meetings

Our weekly public recovery classes and bible studies are open for anyone struggling with addiction to alcohol or drugs. Come be a part during Tuesday Family Nights at 5:30pm at New Hope Baptist Church’s Fellowship Hall at 4301 Louisburg Rd in Raleigh. Park in the lot off of New Hope Rd.

    Clothing Outreach

We partner with the Kids Exchange Consignment Sale which is known to be one of the largest in North Carolina. We receive all the kids items that are not picked back up by the sellers. Volunteering opportunities are available every February and July to assist in pick up, organizing, and distributing THOUSANDS of kids items through our community outreaches.

Additionally we partner with Free Dreamers clothing ministry that periodically brings free clothing to our Tuesday Street Outreach & Family Nights.

Due to our limited storage space, we do not accept donations of clothing. Please reach out to our other ministry partners such as Free Dreamers, Missions Thrift Store or North Raleigh Ministries to donate your clothing items.

    Disaster Relief

Disaster Relief collaborates with various churches and other organizations in order to quickly provide resources, emotional and spiritual support to victims affected by natural disasters occurring in the North Carolina. Resources such as hygiene products, baby products, food and water are just some of the items distributed. Join us in our efforts to help those who are affected by natural disasters in NC by checking in on volunteer opportunities when posted or giving a donation.
