STREET OUTREACH & FAMILY NIGHT

Everyday there are thousands of people in Wake County experiencing homelessness. We believe that everyone deserves love and dignity which is why we are passionate about reaching out to those in need. More and more, the face of homelessness includes families, seniors and veterans. We need to take time to listen and let people know they are not forgotten.

Every Tuesday we serve downtown offering prayer, hygiene and care packages, and provide transportation to and from our Family Night at the Dream Center where we serve a hot meal with worship and bible study.

Tuesday Street Outreach

3:30 pm – Volunteers meets at RDC to drive down to Moore Square in downtown Raleigh.

4:00 – 5:15 pm – Spend time alongside our RDC staff ministering and listening to those experiencing homelessness. We invite and provide bus transportation back to RDC for Family Night.

    Tuesday Family Night

    5:15 pm – Volunteers join together for prayer at Raleigh Dream Center. Anyone serving with the cooking, worship or KidzJam childcare may arrive earlier.

    5:30 pm – Free hot meal is served in the Fellowship Hall for anyone experiencing homelessness and volunteers to engage in fellowship. Also available is our Public Recovery Class and Discipleship Class. Clothing outreach is available through our partnership with Free Dreamers periodically.

    6:30 pm – Worship and Bible Study in the Sanctuary.

    7:30 pm – Volunteer clean up and transport people back to Moore Square.

      Cooking, Worship & Childcare Volunteers

      Outside of our public volunteer shifts, we have opportunities to serve with cooking/catering, worship and KidzJam childcare for Family Nights. These shifts require further training and qualifications before you can be scheduled. Please let us know if you would like to serve in one of these areas.
